Damascus 5 cable Billet

Multiple cables compressed into one billet provides a finer grain.  These billets can also be forged on end, stacked and combined with 15N20 or 1084 to give wild patterns.

These are the cables cleaned, ends fused with a TIG welder ready to stack.  The longer cable is placed in the center to give room for the rod/handle during welding.

I use a Claiborne 60,000 PSI press to compress and weld.
