Shape

Once the blade is forged to shape, the scale is removed with a grinder.  The blade is then heat soaked and annealed overnight.  I am trying to remove as much stress as possible and get the softness uniform. 

Files and scrappers are my main tools.  Sharp files and a soft surface allow smooth heat free shaping.  And I can still hear my tunes.

Note the lines drawn to indicate Highs & Lows on the surface.
